@drumbasher No, you're not wrong. It does add more weight.. but it makes more sense and ultimately more money (less confusion, and less dislike of the company for that confusion) to paint over. And anyways, I can't think of a way to remove paint. If you paint your walls.. you usually put a primer and then whatever color. It's rare to peel it, no?

Hmm, I always thought that they removed the old paint before adding new. It seems that not removing the old paint adds more weight to the plane, and in turn, burns more fuel. Am I wrong here?

These former Northwest 747's were NOT the first to enter Delta's fleet. Delta first began 747 service in 1970 and flew them for a few years before retiring them in favor of the Lockheed Tristar (L-1011).

A Ranger told me they use to show this video before they begin Delta's Selection Course for motivation. Tell me why this isn't Delta because you haven't yet. Delta's widget was one of the "BEST" ever produced during this time. The other being the Flying D of the 50's & 60's for the prop planes. After the Delta/Northwest merger, there was a rumor that management was considering another colors change from the current. Obviously, never happened. I agree, that repainting one of Delta's planes into the widget would be a fun idea, but management is not interested.

Had to wait hours on a plane behind some guy who kept singing songs in protest to the fact the plane wasn't leaving yet, which not only didn't make it leave faster, just made me feel like stabbing myself with the airplane chair arm or something. Then when we arrived we couldn't get our bags because the reason they were taking so long is because they were taking all of our bags off the plane because some guy had left a blown up flotation device in their luggage. So all of our bags were ages away.

I've never ridden in an airplane before (that I remember), but I remember my mom was 7 months pregnant with my sister, I was about a year old. They showed up, there was a delay in their previous flight, and they told her to run as it was just about to leave. Once she got there, they told her they were holding the flight for her, and woulda sent something to pick her up. .. then lost her luggage. Then found it, just as they were going home.

Spirit airlines is the cheapest airline in the world (I'm guessing)...the city bus has better service. I know it's my fault that I took 2 sleeping pills after eating chili fries at the airport and had to barf on the plane, but it is the responsibility of the airline to have a barf bag. I had to use the Air Mall magazine. They even charge you for your carry on luggage. Will never fly with them again.

A few years ago i was in denver during a snowstorm, my plane gets delayed for a DAY AND A HALF, I have to go back through security afterwards, walk through the metal detector, it goes off, and they do the little wand thing, it takes 20 minutes for me to go. my worst airplane story was when i had to go on a plane. that for some reason couldn't fly. so i had to catch another plane. that would take off 15 hours later. 15 FUCKING HOURS later. the people there we're all like. Was going to visit my girl and the 1st plane had a 30min delay due to snow, the second plane got delayed for mechanical failure, for 7 hours. 3rd flight left the gate right when I got there. They said next flight wasnt till the next morning and gave a list of hotels . But, they wanted me to pay for the hotel, and the taxi to/from the hotel. As an added bonus, that flight at 0800 in the morning was canceled cause "the plane was cold", and I didnt leave the airport till around 2PM.

For those of you who claim that this video is saying "it's ok to be fat, overweight and unhealthy" you're wrong. This video clearly says, and I quote : "It's time to focus on the healthy ideal which looks different for every woman and focuses on health, not weight or size" . They only mean that we should not want to look like this actress or that model because we all are beautiful and different.

personally, i believe this is a load of crap because it's survival of the fittest, THINKING that your less than someone else, makes you less than someone else. If you have a strong mind, you wouldn't care what you look like. It's not that someone influenced someone, it's that someone was influenced. Notice how it's the people who make them selves look stupid, who have problems with themselves. And NO-MATTER How much you try to help them believe in themselves, this probably won't help.

@TheManders Yes, I understand that. I didn't necessarily mean this video. The message of this video is very positive, but the media in general is saying it's okay to be overweight. And I don't believe it is okay to be "fat", because there are always health issues present (I don't mean those who aren't stick thin, but I mean people that are blatantly unhealthily overweight). I do agree with what you're saying though, it's important to be comfortable and confident with yourself.

@imLOSTx109 Okay, they're NOT promoting that it's okay to be an unhealthy weight - they're promoting self-confidence in EVERYONE, regardless of size. There are plenty of people who are "overweight" by BMI standards, but are still perfectly healthy. And for the record, it is okay to be fat, as long as there are no heath issues present. The issue here is not size, it is being comfortable in your own skin and having the confidence to do all the things you want to do.

I'm sick of the media propagating the notion that it is OKAY to be fat. Most people focus on the fact that the media sets an unrealistic standard for "real" women to compare themselves to, but that is just as disgusting as the rest of the media saying it's okay to be overweight. Both are huge issues, but the latter of the two is becoming more and more prevalent. Being fat isn't any better than being anorexic.

Women, by genetics, are supposed to be more prone to weight gain. Just like men are to muscle gain. And on top of this, being thin is only a tiny portion of what the planet regards as sexy. Shit, some people think sticking a bone through your nasal cavity is sexy. You only have one life to live, and it would be shitty to worry about something like that. In fact, if weight is your biggest problem, it must be nice to be you. So much other shit to worry about these days...

i lyk this video bcuz its saying how we should stop trying to be size 2 and 3 and find a weight we are happy with; a weight that makes us feel good. True you should be healthy but you dont need to be a certain weight to be happy and healthy. no one said you have to 90 or 100 pounds to be healthy and to feel good about yourself.
